Meet the Staff of 11:11 A.M.

Adam DeAngelisName: Adam DeAngelis
Position: Co-Founder/Digital Media Coordinator

About Me: I am originally from Michigan, but moved to Washington, DC to attend the Catholic University of America, where I majored in Politics and Philosophy. I started to really get into music my freshmen year of college, when I attended my first concert ever, which was Something Corporate. Since then, I have traveled on the Vans Warped Tour for 11:11 A.M. in 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2011. It has been amazing to meet so many people all over the United States and Canada and to help spread the word about young adult cancer research.

Melissa PeredaName: Melissa Pereda (Melly)
Position: Co-Founder/Web Developer

About Me: I am a recent graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, where I majored in Media Arts and Animation. I have been designing web sites and other materials for about ten years, and doing other forms of art for even longer. It has always been important for me to communicate through the use of visual and audio mediums, and it is these essentials that have led me to where I am today. I am grateful to have been with 11:11 A.M. since the beginning, and am eager to continue on this journey with the team and our supporters.

Guilty pleasure: Cobra Starship. I am cheesy, what? Seriously, though?my sidekick is attached to my palm with Twitter refreshed every hour.

Angela LucierName: Angela Lucier (Angie)
Position: Vice President

About Me: Originally from Maryland, I am now a New Englander (go Red Sox!). I have a degree in art and my passion is photography. You’re likely to find me exploring an abandoned building somewhere. I tend to go to bed around 8:00PM, which is why Adam calls me Mom. I started with 11:11A.M. way back in 2005 and it’s been one heck of a ride. Here’s to many years more!

Fun fact: I was born on Mt. Vesuvius and lived on Mt. Etna (another volcano) until I was a year old!

About Me: I am currently a sociology major at George Mason University. I love music, traveling, picture messages, and the Washington Redskins. You should never eat french fries around me unless you plan on sharing. I am very thankful to be a part of 11:11 A.M. and am constantly overwhelmed with all the support we receive!

Last words: One day, I will win big on Cash Cab.

Mao ShiokuraName: Mao Shiokura
Position: Treasurer

About Me: I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I graduated from USC where I majored in Business Administration with an emphasis in Cinema/Television and Finance. In May 2009, I will graduate with a J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. I study for a living. My philosophy: there are four basic necessities to life?sleep, food, friends, and shows; everything else is icing. I have been lucky enough to work with both 11:11 A.M. and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society helping run Team Jack?s Mannequin. Fight on!

Most ironic ?lucky? moment ever: I took this picture at the Viper Room, which was the very first show I ever photographed. The venue was strictly enforcing their ?No Camera? policy that night?so I hid mine beside Andrew?s monitor when I was shooting.

Marissa MullenName: Marissa Mullen
Position: Digital Media Coordinator

About Me: I’ve lived in southern Connecticut for the past 18 years but I feel like I’m rarely in the state. I tend to travel a lot. My goal is to go to every main city in the USA before I turn 21. I lived in Dublin, Ireland from September to December 2010 working for the SyFy channel on the set of the film “Neverland”… Super random, I know.  I go to Northeastern University in Boston . I spend most of my time shopping, playing with puppies, driving and drinking iced coffee. I like to blog and tweet….. (Especially for 11:11 A.M.  since I direct the social networking!) I’m extremely proud of how much effort my friends put into this organization and how supportive everyone has been over these past few years! If you are reading this, I would like to personally say THANK YOU!

My favorite hobby: I love photography… but mainly taking pictures of my pug named Franklin. I tend to tweet a lot, follow me @marissamullen :)

Natalie BisignanoName: Natalie Bisignano
Position: Publicist

About Me: I am currently a grad student at UAlbany studying Organizational Communication. In 2008, I graduated from UAlbany with my B.A. in Communications and Rhetoric with a minor in Business Marketing. When I am not in class, I?m usually listening to music, doing interviews for ForTheSound.com, doing music publicity at music and entertainment public relations firm Noteworthy PR, or driving to a concert anywhere in the northeast singing so loudly that I lose my voice before I even make it to the venue. I am absolutely honored to be a part of the 11:11 A.M. team. They, and all of the supporters, are some of the most dedicated, hardworking and inspirational people I have ever met.

Random fact: Subway, Rockstar Roasted Light Vanilla, and Real World: Brooklyn are all I really need to be happy in life.
